D. Superintendent-Christy Hammer
Mrs. Hammer reported: Learning budget; Enrollment went well; Working on ESSER III; Mentoring plan for new “teachers”- 3 mentees and 3 mentors; Busses are ready for inspection; Walk-in freezer compressor should be in in a few days; Gave a few interviews
Discussion/action items:
1. Approve membership to USA Kansas
Stephanie Johnson moved, seconded by Brad Chubb to approve membership to USA Kansas.  Motion carried 7 yea.
2. Add bullying policy to the BOE handbook
Todd Selzer moved, seconded by Ross Cox to add this policy to the student handbook and BOE policy book.  This policy is on the website.  Motion carried 7 yea.
3. Handbook review
Craig Sloan moved, seconded by Brad Chubb to approve the handbooks, as revised.  Motion carried 7 yea
Stephanie Johnson moved, seconded by Craig Sloan to amend the previous motion, to include adding the discipline rubrics to the student handbook.  Motion carried 7 yea.
4. Needs assessment
The needs assessment tool was gone over with the board and documented their thoughts and answers to the state review form.
Brad Chubb moved, seconded by Stephanie Johnson that the board acknowledged, read, used, completed the needs assessment provided to USD 241, to determine the school budget development.  Motion carried 7 yea.
5. Review budget
The board reviewed the 2022-2023 budget.
6. Approve substitute list
Camron Funk moved, seconded by Craig Sloan to approve Amie Gibbs, Tera Funk and Mike Chaney to the substitute list.  Motion carried 7 yea.
7. Discuss milk bids
Camron Funk moved, seconded by Stephanie Johnson to approve the Cash-Wa milk bid.  Motion carried 7 yea.
8. Approve F.S. cook
Todd Selzer moved, seconded by Ross Cox to approve Vicki Fitzwater as a part-time cook.  Motion carried 7 yea.
9. Approve full-time substitute/para
Stephanie Johnson moved, seconded by Todd Selzer to approve Katelyn Manning as a full-time substitute and para.  Motion carried 7 yea.
10. Strategic planning with KASB
Brad Chubb moved, seconded by Craig Sloan to go into executive session for five (5) minutes, for the purpose of discussing non-elected personnel, to protect the privacy rights of said persons, and return to this room at 9:20 p.m.  motion carried 7 yea.
