Destrie Whitaker appeared in Wallace County District Court on January 25, 2019 with attorney Christopher Rohr, Colby, in the matter of case number 2018 TR 282 - count 1 Driving While License Suspended, a level B non-person misdemeanor, date of offense, October 13, 2018. Whitaker was found guilty and sentenced to 90 days in the county jail. Whitaker was given 40 days of credit for time served.
Destrie Whitaker also appeared in the matter of case number 2018 CR 29 – which was comprised of 3 counts of Domestic Battery, level B person misdemeanors, date of offenses, October 13, 2018. Whitaker was found guilty and sentenced to 6 months in the county jail for each count, ordered to run concurrently. These sentences will run consecutive to the sentence in case 2018 TR 282. Whitaker was ordered to pay a $100 fine for each count, $158 in court costs, a $60 probation fee, and make restitution to the victim. Whitaker was also ordered to pay all attorney’s fees related to both cases.
Mark Curtis Dulany appeared in Wallace County District Court with attorney Leslie Beims, Goodland, on February 13, 2018, in the matter of case number 2017 CR 23 – count 1 Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) a level 2, non-person drug felony, which carries a presumptive sentence of 117-130 months in prison. In a plea agreement reached with the Wallace County Attorney’s Office, in exchange for Dulany’s guilty plea, the County Attorney would suggest a downward durational departure of the prison sentence. The Honorable Judge Scott Showalter agreed with the terms of the plea agreement and sentenced Dulany to 33 months in prison. Dulany was also ordered to pay $590 in restitution to the Wallace County Sheriff’s Office, $193 in court costs, and $700 in other fees related to the case.
Courtney Hemmingson appeared in Wallace County District Court with attorney Leslie Beims, Goodland, on a Probation Violation in regards to case number 2017 CR 47. After determining that a violation of the terms of probation had occurred, Hemmingson was ordered to serve the original sentence of 18 months in prison.
