Betty Jo Yotter

Betty Jo Yotter, age 94, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. She was born on November 11, 1929, in Mount Vernon, Kansas to Loren & Hazel Wilson Armstrong. Her life brought her from Kansas to California and back to Kansas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leoti, Kansas. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, the Rebekah Lodge of Leoti, Kansas, and the Road Runner Motorcycle Club.
On January 17, 1951, Betty married William Dean Yotter in Sharon Springs, Kansas. He passed away on July 22, 2003, in Leoti, Kansas.
Betty is survived by her two grandchildren Matthew & Chanelle Martin of Leoti, Kansas, Mindy & Darold Harrison of Deerfield, Kansas, six great-grandchildren Casey Harrison of Satanta, Kansas, Jason Harrison of Deerfield, Kansas, Hannah & Andrew Rauch of Tribune, Kansas, Sarah Martin & Isaiah Kiesel of Newton, Kansas, Micah Martin & Bonnie Thornburg of Leoti, Kansas, Avah Martin of Leoti, Kansas, three great-great-grandchildren Azariah Kiesel of Newton, Kansas, Benjamyn Rauch of Tribune, Kansas, and Malcolm Martin of Leoti, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one sister, and three brothers.
There will be no visitation
The family is planning a memorial service at the First Baptist Church in Leoti, Kansas on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 with pastor Gary Salmans presiding.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the "First Baptist Church" in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 161, Leoti, KS 67861.
