Evan Fredrick Grund
Evan Fredrick Grund, 85, passed away December 28, 2024 at Leisure Homestead in Stafford, KS. He was born September 26, 1939 on the family farm in Wallace County, KS to Leslie and Juanita (Mather) Grund. Evan married Delores (Wise) Grund April 19, 1964.
Evan graduated from Wallace County High School. He went on to receive his Bachelors degree in accounting from Fort Hays State University. He worked as an CPA with Lemon & Son, Inc. and also had his own public practice. He was a member of Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed sports (especially KU and the Kansas City Chiefs), hunting, and history. He was also an avid videographer of special events. His love of military aircraft inspired him to serve in the Kansas Air Force National Guard.
He is survived by his children, Stacey Canfield of Pratt, KS; Galen (Daryla) Grund of San Antonio, TX, Kevin (Alenna) Grund of Lenexa, KS; grandchildren, Destiny Canfield of Wichita, KS, Kody Canfield of Pratt, KS; Jenna (Hunter) Tormey of Dallas, TX, George Grund and Lily Grund of Lenexa, KS; great grandchildren, Hallie Rankin and Remington Halpin; Three Sisters, Jane Kreigh, Lenora Dyer, Navene Rains.
Evan is preceded in death by his Father, Leslie Grund; Mother, Juanita Grund; Wife, Delores Esther Grund; two brothers, Allen Grund, Layal Grund; two sisters, Elaine Chisam, Leta Kay Grund.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6-8 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2025 at Abundant Harvest Church of the Nazarene, Pratt with Pastor Scott Powell presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
