John Paul McCool
John Paul McCool, Sr., age 71, of Sharon Springs passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Greeley County Hospital in Tribune. John was born January 14, 1954 to Billy Robert and Alice (Bebee) McCool in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
John grew up and went to school in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. In 1974 John enlisted in the United States Army.
On June 12, 1989 he married Kristine Tipton in Fort Smith Arkansas.
He was a member of the VFW and American Legion, and enjoyed fishing, star gazing, football, spending time with his family.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Preceding him in death are his parents, son Owen and brothers Robert and Floyd.
He is survived by his wife Kristine; son John Paul Jr. (Jennifer) of Goodland; daughter Christy McCool of Coweta, OK; brother-in-law Rod Tipton; sister-in-law BJ McCool of Tahlequah, OK; grandchildren Liam, Brittany, Deaundra, Devante, Dasia, Shawnnessy and one on the way in June; 5 great grandchildren; best friend Andy Fidram of ND; and many more family and friends.
Memorial graveside service will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. MT at the Goodland Cemetery, North Main Street, Goodland.
