The Wallace County Board of Commissioners met in regular session with Becky Larson, Commissioner, Mike Cowles, Commissioner and Micaila Lock, County Clerk present.
Warrants # 32045-32098, the amount of $ 55,469.44 were approved for payment. Payroll warrants in the amount of $137,445.66 for the working period of November 10, 2024, through November 23, 2024, were approved for payment.

Bob discussed getting a new side by side and showed the one bid he got from Colby AG Center, LC for an Kubota side by side at $10,485.00 and Larry asked him if he would get one more bid for a side by side.
Anthony Garcia, Road and Bridge Supervisor entered the meeting
Anthony gave updates on the cattle guard project on blue bird and that people are using the shoefly. Discussion on a road permit
Chairman Townsend made motion to approve the permit for Marion Kuhlman to bore under the road for a water line. Commissioner Larson seconded.

Doug Springsteel, Landfill supervisor, entered the meeting
Doug gave updates on landfill, discussed the recycling bin and where the driver that does the pickup though would be the best place for them to sit and decided that the county road shop for them to pick up easier.
Theresa Dasenbrock and Lisa Axman representing Lewis, Hooper, and Dick entered the meeting.
Theresa discussed what Lewis Hooper and Dick does for the county as in the budgets and working with the commissioners and other elected officials and discussed the annual audits for county offices to make sure that each office is running smoothly.
Marshall Unruh, Sheriff entered the meeting
Marshall gave updates on his department.
Chairman Townsend after discussing with the auditor the commissioners decided starting on December 22nd, 2024, so that the employees will have that 5% on the first payday in 2025 as was budgeted for.
Commissioner Larson made a motion to approve the 5% raise to start December 22nd, 2024, for all county employees. Commissioner Cowles seconded the motion.

Tonya Medina, Health department Administrator, entered the meeting.
Tonya and the commissioners discussed the ambulance billing. We have a company doing the billing for the ambulance. The commissioners will have more discussion on this topic.
Kim Frodin, County Appraiser entered the meeting
Kim discussed the contract with Kimble Mapping to get the signatures for the contract. She also discussed the abatements and the reason for abatements.
Aften Gardner entered the meeting via phone
Aften discussed with the commissioners the pasted expertness with the medical billing company that helps with the billing process.

Lissa Sexson, Wallace County Community Development entered the meeting
Lissa discussed Northwest Kansas Housing economic development fund would help someone wanting to build a rental house or single-family home. Neighborhood Revitalization Plan (NRP) and her discussion with Kim about that since Kim has worked with this program before in her other counties. Kathy McDaniel entered the meeting. Kathy discussed the automatic door at the senior center and wanted to discuss the grant opportunity for the door with Lissa.
Chairman Townsend accept the abatements that the appraiser provides to the commissioner. Commissioner Larson Seconded.

Bob presented the second bid from Superior Outdoor Power Center, Inc. for $22,595.00.
Chairman Townsend moved to accept the bid from Colby AG Center $10,485.00 for a 2024 Kubota side by side. Commissioner Larson Seconded.
