Commissioner Proceedings 8/18/25 Special

November 3, 2025

The Wallace County Board of Commissioners met in a special session with Becky Larson, Chairperson, Will Walker, Commissioner, Brian Gailey, Commissioner, and Micaila Lock, County Clerk present.  

 Bob Bolen, Noxious Weed, Entered the meeting

Kevin Van Allen, representing the amassment association, entered the meeting.

Melinda Daily K-state Extension entered the meeting.

Anthony Garcia, Road Supervisor entered the meeting

Chair Larson called the meeting to order at 8:30 am.

Lissa Sexson, Wallace County Community Development, entered the meeting.

Melinda gave updates

Anthony discussed the old desk that are being stored down at the road department that probably needs to toss since they are broken.

Bob brought up his concerns might have to be moved location before the end of his spraying season. Bob brought up the winterizing of the road ditch spraying truck this year. Lissa brought up that we are trying to meet all of the needs for the noxious weed.

Kevin discussed recycling center and that they have asked several years to get power and it has never been fixed. Along with discussing cleaning up some of the buildings over at the carnival so that they can utilize their storage and building to help clean up the county building.  

 Lissa discussed what the reason is for this meeting and organized it to get everything cleaned up to make the county and community look more appealing.  

Anthony later discussed fuel storage in the future and what to do with the old tanks.

Lissa and Commissioners discussed the timeline for the project and setting up a time to clean up an area to get ready for a temporary placement.

They discussed the RNR notices.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:58 am
