The USD 241 Board of Education met in session, Wednesday August 19, 2026 at 5:00 pm. BOE members in attendance were: Ross Cox, Stephanie Johnson, Mark Kuhlman, Bruce McKain, Darrin Summers and Dan Brooks. Sandy Cullens was absent. Highlights from the meeting include:

After the pledge of allegiance, the BOE went into executive session for KOMA – unelected personnel.

Following executive session, the following actions were taken: Chance Rains was hired as the interim AD and interim head HS football coach. Lake Lewis was hired as interim assistant HS football coach. Andrew Korte was hired as interim head JH football coach. Tyrel Robbin and Ben Johnson were hired as assistant JH football coaches. Catherine Fischer was hired as interim PE teacher. Crystal Brown was hired as the Kindergarten paraprofessional to start after Labor Day. Tori Taylor was hired 2/7 of the day as a district paraprofessional. Mia Ramirez and Caimen VanAllen were hired as part-time daycare workers. Daycare director, Kyra Bustillos, was relieved of her position.
