Commissioner Proceedings 12/17/24

The Wallace County Board of Commissioners met in regular session with, Larry Townsend, Chairman, Becky Larson, Commissioner, Michel Cowles, Commissioner, and Micaila Lock, County Clerk present. 
Brian Gailey entered the meeting
Duane Barber, Building and Ground entered the meeting
Kim Frodin, Appraiser, entered the meeting
Chairman Townsend called the meeting to order at 8:05 am
Kim discussed the reason for the abatements and where the process that the check list defaults, to either yes or no which affects the tax statements and county tax roll.
Commissioner Cowles moved to approve the abatements as presented. Commissioner Larson Seconded.

Duane discussed the pricing of a new air compressor and talked to Jay about the electricity and if we could possibly pull a little more power from the senior center. He discussed the elevator billing cost for them to come twice a year. 
Erin Merry and Delisa Merry with Delisa’s Medical Billing, entered the meeting via phone 
Erin discussed how the health department and ambulance department billing might get affected because the County Tax ID being the same and the NPI being different. Erin brought up that insurance companies have a form that we can fill out to be paid by the NPI instead of the Tax ID that way both can be paid correctly. She would be willing to talk to the county Health Nurse.
