Commissioner Proceedings 5/22/25 Special

June 13, 2025

The Wallace County Board of Commissioners met in a special session with Will Walker, Commissioner, Brian Gailey, Commissioner, and Micaila Lock, County Clerk present.  

Commissioner Walker called the meeting to order at 4:00pm 

Lifeguard Applicants entered the meeting

Commissioner Walker moved to go into executive session at 4:00pm for Personnel exception-Personnel matter of individual NON-ELECTED personnel for 5 minutes and return at 4:05pm. Invited are the 2commissioners, County Clerk Lock and Applicants.  Commissioner Gailey seconded. 

AYE   2 NAY  0

Returned to regular session at 4:05pm.

Commissioner Walker made a motion to hire Nick Cottrell and Eli Goodwin as lifeguards. Commissioner Gailey seconded.

Lifeguard Applicant entered the meeting 

Commissioner Walker moved to go into executive session at 4:18pm for Personnel exception-Personnel matter of individual NON-ELECTED personnel for 2 minutes and return at 4:20pm. Invited are the 2commissioners, County Clerk Lock and Applicants.  Commissioner Gailey seconded. 
 
Returned to regular session at 4:20pm.

Commissioner Walker made a motion to hire Zoey Gardner as a lifeguard. Commissioner Gailey seconded.

Amber Fischer, Pool Manger 

Amber discussed some requests from the lifeguard trainer before she can do the training at pool. She provides two quotes to purchase a new refrigerator from Gabby’s Appliances for $550.00 and Noone Ag Equipment for $699.00. 

Commissioner Walker made the motion to approve the purchase for $699.00 Noone Ag Equipment. Commissioners Gailey Seconded the motion.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:45 pm
