Approval of agenda:
Todd Selzer moved, seconded by Craig Sloan to approve the agenda, as presented.  Motion carried 7 yea.
Consent items:
Minutes of august 14, 2023 regular meeting; 
Approval of warrants: general fund

Approval of consent items:
Brad Chubb moved, seconded by Todd Selzer to approve the consent items, as presented. Motion carried 7 yea.

JH VB/FB is showing improvement; Attended league meeting; and, Homecoming is this week with Atwood
Administrative reports:

We have several home events this year; Homecoming parade is Thursday; Hunter Pinke assembly was very impressive; and, Ft. Wallace museum visit was last Friday

This is our learning year with KESA; and, Attorney signed MOU this week.
Discussion/action items:
1. Approval of out-of-district students
Ross Cox moved, seconded by Brad Chubb to approve the out of district students, as presented.  Motion carried 7 yea.
2. Approval of disposing suburban #5
Board would like to have Mrs. Hammer check on a possible 2/1 trade in or full disposal of suburban #5.
3. Supplementals: fall play; Jr class sponsor; resignations
Ross Cox moved, seconded by Todd Selzer to approve Brenda Tropf and Rebecca Harmison to pursue a fall play.  Motion carried 7 yea.
Brad Chubb moved, seconded by Ross Cox to approve Tammy Larson as Jr class sponsor.  Motion carried 7 yea.
Brad Chubb moved, seconded by Ross Cox to approve resignation from Inga Sloan, quiz bowl coach.  Motion carried 6 yea, 1 abstain (Sloan).
4. Daycare discussion
Mrs. Hammer discussed with the board about some possible property for sale and that she has had a potential employee that would be interested in operating this day care.  
5. Discuss intercom/phone system
Several bids were received.  Brad Chubb moved, seconded by Todd Selzer to approve the bid from InAlert, for a new phone system.  Motion carried 5 yea, 2 nay (Funk/Sloan).
6. Discuss gym floor bid
Tabled
Executive session: student privacy
Todd Selzer moved, seconded by Craig Sloan to go into executive session for ten (10) minutes, for the purpose of discussing student privacy, to protect the privacy rights of said person, and return to this room at 8:35 p.m.  Mrs. Hammer and Mr. Brown are invited in.  Motion carried 7 yea.
