The Wallace County Board of Commissioners met in regular session with, Larry Townsend, Chairman, Becky Larson, Commissioner, and Micaila Lock, County Clerk present.
Warrants # 31989-32044, the amount of $ 77,221.15 were approved for payment. Payroll warrants in the amount of $73,033.11 for the working period of October 27, 2024, through November 9, 2024, were approved for payment.

Christine Smith, Treasures entered the meeting
Christine discussed the bids she received for copy machines from Tri-Central and Office Work, Tri-central two bid one for a new one and a used. The new one would be $8,750.00 after all said and done were a use on has the same warranty for $5,484.00. The Office Works bid was $9,825.00 for a new and $8,535.00.
Chairman Townsend move to make the approve the purchase of a copy machine $ 5,484.00. Commissioners Larson Seconded.

Christine discussed the tax statement, and the computer mix up that happened when preparing the statements and addresses and names not being all the some so the statements will be mailed out separate do to the names being different.

Anthony Garcia, Road and Bridge Supervisor entered the meeting
Anthony discussed the repairs of the county roads, the repairs of the cattle guard north of Wallace and closing the road for a while to repair it but putting shoe fly in for the road to be used in the meantime.
Doug Springsteel, Landfill supervisor, entered the meeting
Doug gave updates on landfill, discussed the scraper needing repaired. Doug volunteered to get the recycling bins from C.F. Maier Composites, INC in Larma, CO.
Tonya Medina, Health department Administrator, entered the meeting.
Tonya discussed the ambulance billing through the night and gel note software. Which would not be additional cost to the county to use this nightingale software. The commissioners would like to do some more research on the contract we have with the billing company.
Marshall Unruh, Sheriff entered the meeting
Marshall gave updates on his department, requested a 5% raise for his department. Gave updates from his Kansas Sheriff Association conference and the relationship with Logan County Sheriff department. Logan county asked if our 911 dispatched would like to take on Logan County dispatch as well
Commissioner Larson made a motion to approve November 12th, 2024, minutes as amended. Chairman Townsend Second.

Lissa Sexson, Wallace County Community Development entered the meeting
Lissa discussed housing incentives had two applications withdrawn with 5 outstanding applications that just waiting on documents from the application, ECB Grant $10,000.00 for housing, hiring incentives and storefront incentive one project is done. KDOT Cost Share for the Smoky Hill River Low Water Crossing Project and updates on where we are at with this project. KDOT Safe Route to School planning and programming Grants from Toole Designs will check with KDOT and Union Pacific on the plans they have from the improvement. Wallace County Holiday Events with Travel Wallace County. Goals for the next year. Make my move, for remote workers to live in the county. Neighborhood Revitalization Plan (NRP), KHED Grant from playground improvement.
Kim Frodin Appraiser entered the meeting
Kim discussed the abatements to give the commissioners more of a background what the abatements are for.
She also gave her input on the NRP since the other county she appraises also does that program.

Paulette discussed the ambulance department and how everything is going.
